Front-line Leaders and Forerunners Are Shifting!
The Power of Unforgiveness
Several years ago I was part of a group that was praying for a gentleman who had cancer. The power of God was very evident as we prayed for him and we were all very hopeful that this dear man would be healed. The Lord had instructed his wife not to use any of the traditional medicines and she was obeying and feeding him with all organic, healthy food. His doctor was also a believer in Christ and was monitoring his cancer and obeying the Lord.
So I was heart-broken when after praying for several months I received a call during the middle of the night that this dear man had gone home to be with Jesus.
After we had celebrated his life and laid him to rest, I went to Lord one day and asked, "Why?" "Why, God, when we had literally felt Your Presence, obeyed what You told us to do, and believed You so completely? Why, when I know it's always Your will to heal, why did this man not receive healing?"
And I heard one word from the Lord. "Anger."
I kept this to myself and just continued to give my heart to the Lord, thinking about what He had said.
One day, a couple of months after this, the man's widow called me. And in the course of our conversation, she asked me, "Do you know why he died?" And I carefully and kindly shared with her what the Lord had told me.
She surprised me by saying, "You know, that's true. He was very angry at his mom. Whenever she would leave, he would tell me that 'his skin crawled' whenever she touched him."
God's Word tells us that we are judged according to the way we judge others. It also tells us that we must forgive.
So, I want to propose to you a thought.
I believe that this man's unforgiveness was the thing that stopped him from receiving the healing that God is always willing to give. But I want to take it even further than that. I believe that this anger and unforgiveness could have been the very 'root' of the cancer. This anger could have been the sin that gave the cancer legal access to him.
Healing and salvation are synonymous. Did you know that the literal meaning of the name 'Jesus' is "He heals/He saves?"
Some people are troubled by the story of Job. But I am always comforted by it.
Satan comes before God and has to receive permission before attacking Job. God follows His own legal system and there was a sin in Job's life that gave the enemy legal access to him. We find that in Job 3:25, Job says, "For what I fear has come upon me, and what I dread befalls me." Even though Job was a righteous man, He feared that he would lose it all. And through that fear, he opened the door for the enemy.

Returning to the Glory of the First Century Church
Every so often, I hear someone moan wistfully, “If only we could return to the glory days of the first century church! If only we could be as full of faith as they were!”
I think if I hear that again, I’m going to scream.
May I speak plainly? That’s one of the stupidest spiritual-sounding things we could say in this day and age. I make the assumption that people who say that mean well, but come on! Let’s think about this a little bit:
The first century church, the church in the book of Acts, was a wonderful beginning. But they were only a beginning: this was the baby church, in diapers, as it were. I can tell you that I have no interest in going back to diapers. That would be such an epic failure, for the church of today to return to the “glory days” of the first century church! What was for them glorious success would be the worst of failures for us.
● “But,” someone will moan, “There were three thousand saved in a day!” That’s pretty good for rookies. Today, that’s less than an hour’s work in the Kingdom, and some reports suggest that’s closer to 20 minutes’ work.
Let us note that it only happened twice in the Book of Acts that three thousand were saved in a day. Today, more than three thousand people come to faith every single hour of every single day of every single year.
I’m thinking that’s an improvement.
● “But there were signs and wonders!” Somebody is seriously not paying attention. There were fewer than 20 miracles reported in the book of Acts, though there were repots of “lots of miracles.” Nowadays, we have lots of miracles on a regular basis.
I know one group that has a 100% success rate at healing the deaf, and nearly as good success healing the blind. I know two groups that won’t let people become elders unless they’ve raised someone from the dead. I know a group that legitimately calls themselves “The Dead Raising Team,” and they’re successful at it. I can’t tell you the number of successful healing teams I’ve heard about! They’re everywhere, and best of all, NOT just among the leaders, like the book of Acts.
Bethel Church in California reports thousands of documented miracles every time they send their students on outreach. And have you talked to the Healing Rooms movement recently?
Besides, I’m not sure I want more “Ananias & Sapphira events.” It’s my private opinion that even when that happened in Acts, it was an error, and not the will of God, but that’s another story. Surely it won’t be best for folks to fall dead in our meetings, when nobody can agree why it happened!
● “But they had all things in common!” I’ll grant that this is an area that we have room to continue growing in. But I am also aware that we’re talking about completely different cultures here. In that culture, if you couldn’t work, you starved to death. In our culture, the homeless guys on street corners make a (meager) living that in most of the world (or in the first century church) would be considered unmitigated wealth. (http://nwp.link/1s8woOt)
This does NOT mean that I propose that we stop helping the poor! Heaven forbid! This means I propose that we quit berating ourselves simply because we still have poor people among us: Jesus said we always would! (Matthew 26:11)
● “But they sold their homes! That’s dedication!” Well, some of them sold their homes. That was just good business; these were smart Jews! Jesus had clearly declared that the city would be destroyed shortly. It’s just good business to sell a house this week for full price that’s going to be destroyed with the city next week and be worth nothing! And clearly, if they “met house to house,” then not everybody sold their homes.
For the record, I know a bunch of people who’ve sold their homes for the ministry, several more than once. I know of others who sold themselves into slavery so that they could bring the good news to those in slavery, and they died in slavery. Most of these folks haven’t had books written about them, so they’re not known as well. But then Jesus taught us to keep quiet about our generosity, yes?
We could go on.
It is NOT my intent to disparage the excellent start that the Church had, as reported in the book of Acts. That was glorious.
What we have now is substantially more glorious. And that, too, is what we were promised. (See Isaiah 9:7)
A Season of Healing
1) Father, how do YOU see me? (Hint: if the answer isn’t about love, then it isn’t God speaking!)
What does this Incipient Outpouring That is Impacting the Northwest Look Like?
by Bob Brasset
Recently my friend, Don Pirozok, was with a middle- aged mother and grandmother. Both of these precious ladies have been praying, interceding and absolutely pouring themselves out... seeking a move of God for their region and Country.
Another adventure began when Laurs came with the team to minister in the streets. As the team spread out into different areas of the downtown, Laurs asked the Lord, “Where do I go?” Jesus said to her, “Go where my people are”. So she was led close to where some homeless people were hanging and close to an empty bottle depot.
AN IMPAIRED KNEE HEALED
A person's knee was water logged. He couldn’t t move it and it was swollen badly. He could only limp along in a very stiff fashion. When he saw and heard what was going on, he asked for healing. We said to him, “Do you know that you can have Jesus in your heart and all your sins wiped clean and you can renounce all other Gods?” He accepted Jesus as his Lord. We suggested that he ask Jesus himself for healing, Then Laurs and Robert put their hands on him and started to speak in tongues. Holy Spirit said, “Tell him to start moving his knee.” After he moved his knee 20 times he ran across the road, did some sit ups, did a dance - a jig for the group, and then got his medicine and threw it out” He said, “I don't need it anymore.” He is now planning on going back home soon to witness to his family and his home Village. (He has First Nations background.) Three other people were watching this and gave their hearts to the Lord Jesus too!
My friend said, “Then on Sunday i stood on that corner started to pray and presence of the Lord was there, I spoke out loud, “This corner belongs to Jesus , every demon go and may alcohol taste like poison and drugs be revolting)” Another Muslim person was listening he started to cry , he wanted prayer and made Jesus His Lord .
JUST TODAY
Just this PM my friend, Lance Hollet, and I were in Hillside mall. We came upon an East Indian couple. To make a longer story short. The man has severe arthritis in the knee. He was healed when Lance commanded the arthritis to go but, interestingly, he had to command it 3 times! The East-Indian man gave the healing a very thorough going over and a series of physical test and rejoiced, declaring, “There is no pain, swelling or impairment in any way” Then it was his wife’s turn. She had an incurable damaged muscle in her back; she also had a rib condition that gave her great pain and impeded her sleep greatly. These conditions were ongoing for either 20 years or 10 years, I forget which. Anyway, she too was healed and declared as much after giving her back muscle and rib cage thorough tests and exercises right there in the Mall.
The next day...yesterday, I deliberately went by the Dollar store to see how she was doing. She said, "I slept the whole night through without pain. It's a little sore today but I think that's because I overworked it in my enthusiasm."
Jesus is indeed wonderful and He continues to heal, save, and set-free people right out there in the marketplace.
AN OVERVIEW
It Is :
1) Outside the 4 Walls
2) Ordinary Christians and Pastors are being used and giving leadership
3) Not Commercialized
4) Quick Obedience
5) A Longing to See Souls Saved
6) Great Grace to Share the Gospel and to “Take it to the streets”
7) An Unusual Amount of Salvations
8) Prayer, Intercession, Crying out For the Lost
9) A Heart of Compassion
10) Signs and Wonders and regular Supernatural Occurrences----(without boasting or promoting the spectacular)
These are ten elements that seem to accompany those who are being led by God here in The Pacific Northwest. This move of God resembles the early Church in that it is out into the neighborhoods, the streets and the marketplace where life is lived every day. God is using ordinary men, women, and children who have surrendered to a "complete dependency on Jesus" and are being led by the Spirit of God. The highest value seems to be "pleasing God," by seeking and reaching the lost. These saints are "not motivated by money," instead are taking great time at personal cost to follow Jesus into what they expect is full-on revival and harvest.
These miracles of harvest are "not exploited" by commercialization. These healings and deliverances seem to be rather numerous and common. The desire not to offend the Holy Spirit by “attempting to own” the glory of miracles has created a childlike simplicity among the laborers. There is no "one man show" or the "man or woman of God" syndrome. Ordinary saints are walking in extraordinary dependence on the Holy Spirit. The gospel is shared in simplicity with what looks like "great grace". Continual prayer is manifesting day and night for this present move of God. The "Agape-love of God" is filling the harvesters so "fear of rejection and fear of man” is giving way to compassion and vision. This compassion brings a deep longing for the most hardened sinners to be healed and saved. Miracles are an everyday event as evidenced by the numbers of "divine appointments" and healings.
Jesus may this report motivate us to see the season is "harvest time" and a very real outpouring of the Holy Spirit is just outside our homes and “right next door.”

The Vision of the Wooden Spoon
Healing & Daniel’s Delay
Is this the time to pray for healing? Shall I go to war? Go to court? Or shall I just give thanks for the prayers that we’ve already prayed that are taking their time ripening? Or shall I keep on praying, in order to fill the bowl?
Our bottom line, I think, can be found in Jesus’ declaration: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”
